We are a group of experienced HPAC-certified paragliding instructors and tandem pilots united by one goal — to share the joy of free flight with everyone.
Adaptive Airtime Paragliding Association is Canada's first non-profit organization dedicated to breaking down barriers and making the experience of free soaring flight accessible to everyone.
Our lifelong passion for paragliding and its incredible worldwide community inspires us to make the experience accessible — especially to those facing adversity. From personal friendships to professional associations, we are proud to be part of a growing worldwide movement, joining forces with the well-established US non-profit Project Airtime and the EU-based Wheel4Flying organization.
To provide the life-changing experience of paragliding to individuals facing any form of adversity.
We welcome people with spinal cord and brain injuries, as well as all forms of mobility limitations and special needs. From youngsters to the elderly, we are committed to taking anyone soaring who dreams of flying. We fly everyone — regardless of the additional time, equipment, or assistance required — at the same price as any regular tandem flight, and we sponsor participants at our cost when cost is a genuine barrier.

Custom trike-chair tandem flights for first-time fliers facing mobility challenges. Sponsored at cost when needed.

Regular foot-launch tandem flights for the friends, family, and caretakers who come along.

Our standard HPAC P1/P2 pilot certification course — 10–12 days, 25+ supervised flights. Net proceeds support adaptive flying.
Our home flying sites are vehicle-accessible launches in the Fraser Valley, about 90 minutes from downtown Vancouver. Our primary launch is at Mt. Woodside, above Harrison Bay and the Fraser River.
We can also arrange adaptive paragliding flights in Pemberton Valley and the BC Interior Okanagan region. Each site is selected for accessibility, safety, and the kind of mountain-and-river view that makes you forget the world below.
"As we took off, I suddenly felt the pain in my body almost disappear. I was free. Free even from pain."
Olesia Kornienko — Cerebral palsy · First-time tandem flier, August 2024
